Hours of Operation: 8:30 - 5:00
Beginning in their junior year, all students will participate in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Students will find that their ninth and tenth grade years prepared them well for this endeavor. They will still have an alternating MW/TTh schedule and a joint activity block with underclassmen; however, Friday will be dedicated to the extra class time required for higher level courses and dual enrollment science labs.
IB Diploma Programme course requirements at-a-glance:
- Students must take and test in at least 6 IB courses to earn an IB diploma
- At least 3 of those courses must be taught at the Higher Level (HL)
- Higher Level courses require a minimum of 240 teaching hours
- Standard Level (SL) courses require a minimum of 150 teaching hours
- All of our current IB offerings are taught over 2 years
- Students are also required to complete the IB Core Components: Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS), Extended Essay (EE), and Theory of Knowledge (TOK)
