An opportunity to change the process of existing institutions like secondary education comes along once in a lifetime, but that’s exactly what is happening right now at The Hague School in Norfolk.  Its founders have introduced the  Harkness Method of teaching to Hampton Roads and blended it with the International Baccalaureate Programme – well done! ” – Alan Flanders, Ph.D., Former columnist, author, and university professor

The mission and vision of The Hague School were born when a group of professional educators collaborated to fill this area’s critical need for an independent, college preparatory school where face-to-face discussion and productive discourse form the basis of every students secondary education.

The initial phase of development at The Hague School will include classroom renovations, construction of the rear courtyard and waterfront deck, and related cosmetic changes.

Later development will include construction of a second tower, a second courtyard, inclusion of additional classrooms, and a balcony in the auditorium.

If you would like additional information regarding these projects or are interested in providing financial support, please contact Jennifer Warren, our Associate Head of School, at  The Hague School is an IRC Sec. 501(c)(3) approved organization, and charitable contributions made to The Hague School are tax deductible.

Thank you for your interest and vision toward making The Hague School a truly transformative place for our most talented teenagers!
